Warm welcome after dark in bad weather. Very helpful when manoeuvring our caravan after the mover failed. A good stopover for longer winter journeys. Lovely to see squirrels, red deer, treecreepers and woodpeckers.
It’s worth the trip! Super friendly Swiss have just taken over the site and everything is nicely set up. Personal welcome and modern, new sanitary facilities, large pitches with power where you want it. There’s still a lot being planned—we’re excited and will be back.

The story of Camping le Cormier
Le Cormier used to be a working 17th-century farm in the small village of Obterre in the Loire Valley, at the northern tip of the beautiful Brenne Regional Nature Park—also known as the “Land of a Thousand Lakes”. In short: a paradise for wildlife in this unspoilt area of Berry/South Touraine.
